Internationally Known Journalist and Educator to Speak at Banquet and Fund-raiser to Support New Middleborough-based School

The banquet will take place on Saturday, March 29, 6 p.m. at the Samuel Fuller School, 6 Plympton Street, Middleborough, Mass. The event will be catered by the Lobster Trap Restaurant, a regional favorite based in Bourne, Mass. Contribution is $30 per person and goes directly to the new school’s scholarships to help defray the costs for families.

Belz frequently writes and speaks on Christian education. JOEL BELZ is founder of WORLD magazine, serving also with God’s World Publications Inc. in Asheville, N.C. Belz writes a weekly column and does reporting for WORLD. In 1996, he co-authored “Whirled Views” with WORLD’s editor-in-chief, Marvin Olasky. He speaks widely in publishing, educational, and church settings.

Opening in September 2008, Samuel Fuller School will begin with grades K through 3 and add a grade each year thereafter. Classes will be held in the Christian Education Building of the First Congregational Church, 6 Plympton Street, Middleborough, Mass.

    DrHavanger I think you hit a nerve with your comment. Kids do not have the self imposed constraints of the adults and look at space freely, unlike professional journalists that have to make cookie cutter articles. That is why we need to go out into space. We dont even know what we will accomplish up there once free thinking strikes space.

    mike is certainly getting better in micro gravity. why don’t we have some interviews with our russian friend? also, it seems that kids have more thoughtful and insightful questions then what reporters have.
